Our client AMS in December 2015 acquired a new small ship, the MILO Length 20m 55, in Marseille. During the trip to its new home-port of St Nazaire, while off Portugal, she was contacted to assist a Portuguese vessel which had a fire in the engine room.

They evacuated the 6 man crew, put out the fire and then towed the 28m. fishing vessel to the nearest Port. The MILO is not beautiful, but is highly efficient.

1563 is the date just above Peter’s shoulder. It was in this year that Sir Thomas Gresham (Queen Elizabeth’s financial advisor) founded his bank. Peter joined it in 1963. After a couple of years he left and ended up years later becoming a Member of the Baltic.

July 2009. Bringing the 15 m Margaret Helen from Falmouth to her new home port of Saint Nazaire.
Peter assisted the new owners AMS in the acquisition. The last time he sailed out of Falmouth was in 1976! The trip took 17 hours he was thrilled.

2) R. Lindsay Gordon est membre du London Maritime Arbitration Association et Mme Jean Richards en conversation avec Mr Michel Kavanagh. Jean est un expert judiciaire Maritime qui à été amenée à intervenir dans les tribunaux de 9 pays différents.

3) Notre autre orateur était Andrew Oliver de Andrew Jackson, Cabinet d’Avocats d’Hull qu est intervenu à propos du Nouvel Acte de Marine et du Littoral.

Peter was invited to a Franco-Canadian conference as an expert to the little French Islands of Saint Pierre and Miquelon just south of Newfoundland. However surrounded by French Gendarmerie, the Canadian « Mounty » , and the French and Canadian customs men, one starts to have doubts. However, he did assist the French Fishermen, who obtained an Atlantic fishing quota …
